As a photographer I always struggle to explain the body of work that I have created, it is strange though when you are able to create something and cannot write or talk a single word about the process nor what even inspired you to press the shutter. A consistent theme in this series is that of uneasiness and disorientation, I may present a clear and logical path through from one frame to another, but the reality is I did not know where I was going nor how long or what this entailed. Reflecting years later these feelings come back, being completely out of my depth in lands that make you vunerable and excited. I made an effort to restrict myself to only shoot black and white film, something that I am thnakful for, for these photographs are reduced to shadow, form and composition.
